I can't believe it, but today is our 30th anniversary. It doesn't seem like it has been that long. Our kids got together on our 25th and sent us on a mystery trip. It was amazing and so much fun. I had never ever dreamed of a trip like that.
This year I was able to give Justin a gift that he has been wanting for a very long time. A gift he would never get for himself, and a gift that he didn't think I would ever buy him. Mainly because I know nothing about them myself.
I was so excited about this gift I had to give it to him Friday night. I just couldn't wait.
It is a Smith and Weston M&P .40 caliber hand gun.
I don't think he has been that excited since I gave him his over under shot gun a few years ago.
Our present to each other is our trip to Oregon later this month, but I couldn't help myself.
The look on his face was amazing. I love him so much. We had a great weekend. Didn't see him much but still it was a good weekend.

The Garden that Keeps on Giving!!
273 ears of corn, 276 Big Jim green chili, 323 of a mix of jalapeƱos and hot chilies mixed. Made 5 peach cobblers with fresh peaches. Just fininshed juiceing a gallon of grape juice from my grapes this year. Will turn it into jelley this afternoon. Need to pick my beans and okra once again and still have a row of potatoes to dig. Onion and tomatoes doing well. More chillis ripening and lettuce, swiss chard, and kale coming up. Rubarb needs some one to come and pick it again. Squash, cucs, and watermelon still ripening. Sunflowers need to be cut and flower seeds need gathered as they dry.
I hate to say it but enough is enough. Its suppose to freeze the first part of October. Even though I love my garden.
Our fence is finished!!!!!!!
Circle drive is the last project this year. Soon the ground will be frozen and I will be stuck inside.
I guess I need to start thinking about next years projects out side and start working on remodeling the inside.
Well better get up and get going. Love to all!!!

Choir practice!
Last night Justin and I went to choir practice just like we have a million times. Expecting to sing, pray, and go home.
But Last night God taught me a great lesson. We had been singing for about a half an hour when a woman came walking even running down the isle collapsing at the alter. There were around 25 people at choir and only a lady singing next to me and myself saw her. I motioned to the song director for help and he couldn't see her as she was on the floor. Our counselor and another lady went to help, I have you know not me, even though God had shown her to only myself and one other lady. We stayed in the choir loft.
The first lady called 911 and ran out of the church and the other was comforting the young woman. Finally God kicked me in the butt literally and I went to help. When I approached the lady and the choir member they were both covered in blood. I ran to get something to put pressure on her self inflicted wounds on her arms. Yes she had tried to commit suicide.
She was Navajo, she was drunk and her soul was in agony.
As we tried to comfort her all she would say as she wailed and kicked on the floor was, "no cops, no cops". Just then, yes, the cops appeared. Yes she needed the help and we could only help her by getting the cops. She needed her wounds fixed, yes. But she also needed detox. Until she received detox we could not witness to her.
Even though, last night all I could see and hear was the agony her soul was in and she knew in her drunken stupor that she needed God.
Well as the cops came, they did not care that she was bleeding. They dawned the rubber gloves, jerked her up off the floor by her wounded arms and shoved her out of the church where she was met by the EMT's.
My heart aching for this woman. I had felt this way once before, in Africa.
I proceeded to clean up the blood left all over the carpet in front of the alter. God showed me first the blood of Christ that was shed for all peoples, the Zulu people of Africa and the Navaho's of New Mexico both equally, and that they both need God equally.
As my heart went out to this woman just had it had for the people of Africa a few years ago. Now my heart is crying out for this Navajo nation. A nation of people who need God. If you know me you know how I feel about alcohol. I HATE it. Even though I have to find a was to help. We have a couple working with the Navajos and he has cancer, maybe I will find a way to help through them.
Please be in prayer for these people and pray that I will have the strength to help encourage just one so they can see the love of Christ threw me and know in Gods eyes they are worth so much. Also pray for this woman. Pray that she gets the help physically and mentally that she needs.
Who knew what you can learn at Choir practice. Its not just singing and praying anymore.

Praising God, burnt eyes, and an extra day!!!
We woke up Saturday after sleeping in till 7:00, and hit it. I sprayed for squash bugs and bean beetles while dad started welding more poles together to finish our fence project. Dad needed help because pipe are round and don't spin by themselves. Sooooo hence burnt eyes. The portable welder is loud, very loud and I couldn't hear dad say turn so I would peek ever so quickly but not quick enough. Hence burnt eyes. It only lasted about a day and a half but boy was it annoying.
On to taking the old fence down and weed eating the fence line. Couldn't pull up the old poles so a quick drive into town for a man lift. Not so quick, but pulled the posts, dug 11 holes, set 11 poles and by 7:00 that night the poles were set. And my eyes were hurting.
Sunday day 2, woke up at 7:00 once again and in pain with puss on the side of the face. I knew it was not going to be fun. Went to church had a great time worshiping. Side note, Justin and I are starting our new Sunday School class next Sunday the 12th so pray for the class and the people that we pray will come. Back to my story. Came home and ate the hit it again. Justin did some more welding I stayed far away. Hung all the 2x4's and all the pickets that we had left. Then we had to go and help our song director on his RV that he and his wife live in. I stayed in the truck with my eyes shut. Back home and we did something but I can't remember what.
Monday day 3, I had to work. Dad poured a little cement and almost hurt himself. It is hard work to do by yourself. It helps if one person mixes while the other pours it into the forms. Came home from work and dad was just finishing up. Then we harvested our corn. 276 ears later it was done. Pulled up all the stalks and took then to the horses down the road. They loved them. Mean while I once again stabbed myself with bailing wire in the forearm it is still sore today, but the eyes are good. Went home and started cleaning the corn. Finish the corn, and had to move fence because there was now no fence between us and our neighbor with the big dog. Took down the migshift fence made for stage 2 of the project and shifted it to the field fence. Then we moved and tied together all the metal things that we will put in the cement floor of our shop. I don't know what they are called but they are about 5 feet wide and 15 feet long and heavy. Then we decided we were done.
Tuesday we both went to work needed rest from the weekend I came home and cut all the corn off the cob and put it in the freezer. Only cut myself to times.
So needless to say it was a very successful weekend. Got a ton done.

A Very Busy Weekend!!!!
Boy I am pretty sure I am glad this weekend is over. We had a very busy Saturday. We mowed, weed eated, rotter tilled, weeded the garden, picked the garden, dad did some welding, moved a lot of dirt, leveled gates, and dug a ditch under the other gate. That was Saturday! Then on Sunday we decided to take it easy. Had a great day at church then came home and had lunch. I took a nap dad fixed a drain for run off water at the end of the house, set forms for more cement, I am not good at forms but I love pouring cement, measured for the last of our fence project, and went back to church for an awesome praise team concert. It was great.
Jeremy starts school today and is doing pretty good. He has a new house in Durango. He is living with 3 girls and 1 other guy in a beautiful 5 bedroom house. Only about a mile from school up on the mesa that the school sits on.
Well better get ready for work. Talk to you soon!!!

We have been extremely busy this year. It is the year of the fence. Was going to add a few pics but my computer is choosing not to cooperate so I will do this later. No patience at this time.
We now have 2 little dogs and we have had to rattify our yard to keep them in. I can't believe I haven't written since December. I now have a part time job cleaning our church. Justin is still as busy as ever and Jeremy is now back up at school working on his final year.

UPDATES!!
Justin and I had a very relaxing weekend, which does not happen very often. We went to see a movie Sat. The Blind Side. A very good movie guaranteed to make you laugh and cry. Great movie. Spent the rest of the time sitting around and making a little Christmas candy. Delivered 15 boxes to church on Sunday. Took some Christmas pics of Justin and myself and not much else. We have received no snow. It is all around us but not here. Jeremy has around 3 feet. He finishes up finals today, tomarrow and Wed. Then I think he will be home. He will probably sleep for a week. I am finishing up some painting in my house and hunting a job and thinking about taking some classes at the community college. It has been as cold as -11 and as warm as 34 degrees. So with the wind you don't go outside much. Tooooooo cold. Well love you all
